Spooky Nook Sports owner Sam Beiler and his contractors had several considerations to keep in mind when selecting products, like flooring, for this facility. "We chose ECORE, because it offers a wide variety of products," said Patrick O'Brien, the Director of Facilities at Spooky Nook Sports. "Given the diversity of activities in the building, we needed a lot of different surfaces."
Also located in Lancaster, ECORE transforms reclaimed waste into unique performance surfacing. ECORE customized its products to match Spooky Nook Sports' specific needs. Nook patrons can find ECORE flooring in many areas of the facility. These products include:
The flooring at Spooky Nook doesn't go unnoticed. "Close to 50 percent of visitors comment on the [lobby] floor and how much they love it," said O'Brien. Additionally, the Sport Performance Area, which features Everlast UltraTile and a Performance track, is renowned for its aesthetic appeal and durability. These surfaces are equipped to handle a wide range of athletes, including those involved in basic strength training classes to those participating in National and Olympic weight lifting programs.
Everlast Fitness Flooring was also used in the Home of the U.S. Women's National Field Hockey Team's weight room. "The weight room floor is clean, sturdy, and easy on the joints," said Jamie Montgomery, a member of the U.S.A. Women's National Field hockey team. "It's a great all-purpose surface and has a really nice aesthetic."
